This past week, Scuderia Ferrari F1 announced the exit of team principal Mattia Binotto, which takes effect at the end of this year. The exit marks an end to over 25 years of serving in various capacities with the team. Binotto took over the role of team principal back in 2019. Since that time, Ferrari has recorded seven Grand Prix wins and finishes second in the F1 constructor's standings twice in that time.

However, being second in the world championship is not enough in the eyes of Ferrari. To that end, Ferrari looks for a new direction as they prepare for the 2023 Formula One season. From what we understand, it is rumored that the current Alfa Romeo team principal Frederic Vasseur will take over the role at the start of the new calendar year. However, this rumor has not been substantiated. As they develop, we look forward to hearing plans for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team.
