Lightning-fast command response. Up to 755 Nm (557 lb.-ft.) of maximum torque at 4750 rpm in VII gear. That signature sound belying Ferrari quality, and with turbo-reminiscent fuel efficiency. It can only be the new engine showcased in the 2016 Ferrari California T convertible. And the sports car's impressive power speaks for itself.

A 3855 V8, the eponymous roadster's engine cuts the ideal figure for its category, delivering an extra 70 CV and 49% more torque while reducing fuel consumption by 15% and increasing California T's range by 20%, making it a hard charger to wow the segment. And with reduced overall mass and inertia coupled with the use of an F1-derived flat-plane crankshaft and twin-scroll turbines, California T nigh-eliminates pesky turbo lag, while proprietary Variable Boost Management software adapts torque delivery to the requisite gear, increasing torque curve constantly across the rev range and taking the convertible to new heights of terrain command. And we know what all that means. A crushing maximum speed of up to 196 mph, with California T's ability to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in up to 3.6 seconds and from zero to 124 mph in up to 11.2 seconds, and with the reliable stability and traction offered by its CST with F1 TRAC system.

Needless to say, we at Boardwalk Ferrari were floored when Ferrari drove this baby onto the metaphorical scene. Want to get to know the 2016 California T? Stop by our Plano, TX showroom, just a short trip from the Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco and Southlake areas, or get in touch with us on the Web!
