The Nürburgring is a motorsports complex in Germany where the most powerful vehicles in the world are tested and perfected and push the limits of the physical world. This means that it's a prime spot for eagle-eyed gear heads to snap pictures of unreleased vehicles, and this week, fans of the Ferrari luxury brand got a real treat when Autoblog posted images of a mysterious supercar.
The images, which can be viewed here: http://www.autoblog.com/2013/09/25/ferrari-laferrari-spy-shots/, depict a camouflaged vehicle that looks very similar to the 1,000 horsepower LaFerrari model that made its big debut at the Geneva Motor Show. This convention was held six months ago, though, and it is highly unusual for an automaker to be testing a model that has already been showed off with great fanfare.
So, what could this sleek machine be? One theory is that it is a prototype of an even more advanced and powerful edition of the LaFerrari. Another is that the vehicle that made its debut in Geneva wasn't quite ready to be rolled out into full production. Only time will tell, but we can't wait to see what's hiding under its camouflaged skin.
