Every new Ferrari is special in our eyes, but a customization with a sentimental purpose elevates a Ferrari to another level. Such is the case with one vehicle that pays homage to Niki Lauda, the Austrian racing legend known for driving the Formula 1.
After being inspired by Ron Howard's film Rush which plays out the story of James Hunt and Niki Lauda, a dedicated fan through Maranello's Tailor Made program designed a Ferrari 458 Italia with livery that brings the Maranello's racing fervor of the 70's back to life.
The Ferrari 458 Italia sports a traditional red coat with white accents throughout including the pillars, roof, spoiler, lower-front fascia and the rocker panels. If you take a closer look at the roof, you'll notice the white roof displays the Italian colors that streak longitudinally down the back of the car. Gold wheels adds a flashy touch.
The interior continues its tribute to Lauda with leather-covered buckets with careful red stitching, and the Italian flag's colors trickle down the center of the seats. The center console also display's the Italian flag's colors; they're painted on the bare carbon fiber trim.
Aesthetics aside, the Ferrari 458 carries a mid-mounted 557-horsepower 4.5-liter V-8 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
