Our brand loves to take the great vehicles we offer here at Boardwalk Ferrari and turn them into track ready race cars. Why you ask? Well, the showroom models we have here in Plano, Texas are so fast and sporty that they basically are already street legal racers.
This time around Ferrari was spotted testing out a race model of our 458 Italia, with upgraded aerodynamics and a very prominent rear spoiler.
In a press release from Ferrari they spoke about the rear wing on the new 458 Challenge, saying that it allows for "Increased downforce," and compliments the "Work carried out to the splitter and the floor." The Italian automaker went on to explain that these new features will able "Drivers to make full use of the 458 Challenge Evoluzione's dynamics and performance, extending its limits and those of the driver, while improving performance both in terms of laps times and over long distances."1
The official reveal for the 458 Challenge took place yesterday at the Mugello Circuit in Tuscany, Italy, and directly followed the day after the conclusion of the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali.
This new model will join the likes of other historic racers that date back to the mid-90s, including the 348 Challenge, F355 Challenge, 360 Challenge and the 2011 F430 Challenge.
Just like this new racer, the standard 458 Italia model is quite a beautiful sight to behold, so come lose yourself in its power and style here in our inventory of new Ferrari vehicles serving the Dallas, Texas region.
