Here at Boardwalk Ferrari, we like to keep our Plano area customers on top of what's new and what's next from our favorite automaker via our blog. That includes filling you in on what's going on with the production of new Ferrari vehicles in a state-of-the-art facility in Maranello, Italy.
The plant is located in the northern part of the country, and photos recently released by SWNS.com give us some wonderful insight what the Italian automaker's creation and production processes truly are.
The facility crafts Ferrari autos and Ferrari parts as well, and is spread across 551,000 sq/m of space, and is a main fixture in the town, employing a staff of around 3,000 people. Employees are known to cruise the ground-including more than 165,000 sq/ft. of trees and plants-on Ferrari bicycles like those found in our showroom here at 6300 International Pkwy in Plano, TX.
The facility also places a large emphasis on being as "green" and eco-conscious as possible.
The factory does a great deal custom work, certifying models that have been revamped.
"Certification is getting more and more important. Once a car is certified, it is for life and the owner gets a binder signed by Piero Ferrari. Without the certification, the cars are more difficult to sell,"1 says a 35-year veteran employee named Marco Arrighi.
If you'd like to learn more about how you can become the proud owner of one of these breathtaking vehicles, come speak with a staff member here at Boardwalk Ferrari.
