There are some who say that the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is too powerful.  We happen to disagree, but given the luxury sports car's 730 horsepower V12 engine, we understand where people are coming from when they say this.  There are plenty of drivers who can handle this car's heat, though, and one of them is Formula One racer Fernando Alonso.

Recently, Alonso gave a rather interesting interview to the German television station RTL.  What made it so interesting?  Well, Alonso is a native Spanish speaker and the German interviewer conducted the question and answer session in Italian, all while driving on one of the most famous German tracks, the Nurburgrung.

Here are a few fun tidbits from the interview:

  • Alonso only knows a few German words, including danke, morgen, and sieg, the latter of which means victory
  • He balances the adrenaline that he encounters at the race track by spending time with family and relaxing by watching TV
  • He says that it can be difficult to forget a bad race, but it's important as a driver to move on and focus on the next one

If you're interested in watching the entire interview, you can find the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=r560Y39JTAw#at=186

In the video, there are times when even this world record holder seems to be intimidated by the power of the car and the difficult turns of the course.  If this F12 isn't quite for you, we have a variety of high-end sports cars that are sure to be perfect for you here at Boardwalk Ferrari.  Schedule a test drive at our Plano, TX dealership today.
