Ferrari fans in America are looking forward to the Ferrari Challenge of 2013. Here at Boardwalk Ferrari, we would like to dedicate a Ferrari blog post to explain the event. We understand the challenge in keeping up to date with the many events Ferrari puts on each year.

The Ferrari Challenge is a single-marque motorsport race that was created in 1993. It gives Ferrari owners and professional drivers a chance to race Ferrari 348 Berlinetta and Ferrari F430 models head-to-head. Ferrari owners who would rather drive their Italian sports cars on a race track instead of the street are given the opportunity to push their vehicle to the limit. For Ferrari enthusiasts and owners this events allows them to see into a race car driver's life for a brief moment.

Since the Ferrari 458 Berlinetta Challenge car will sport a V8, 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The impressive engine is capable of getting 562 horsepower and tops out at 208 mph. Drivers are not allowed to make customizations to the engines because the Ferrari Challenge is a single-marque event.

Here at Boardwalk Ferrari of Plano, we are also happy to announce that despite rumors, Circuit of the Americas will honor their agreement and allow the Ferrari Challenge to come to their racetrack. Julie Loignon, a spokesperson for COTA said, "We regret the confusion that was caused as we worked through these issues with our clients and look forward to providing a one-of-a-kind experience to auto enthusiasts coming to Circuit of the Americas through our track rental program."1
