Here at Boardwalk Ferrari of Plano, we have always known that thrill seekers and luxury sports car fans love visiting our dealership. Ferrari's performance is unparalleled and owners can expect their vehicles to perform great even if their vehicle is an older model. Recently one of our 1960s models made headlines in the news and we would like to dedicate a Boardwalk Ferrari blog post and tell our fans all about it.

One of our 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB 'Competizone' models went on auction and finally changed hands after selling for $8,140,000. The 1960s Ferrari is a heavily sought after vehicle and some Ferrari enthusiasts believe that it is the best Berlinetta model. Needless to say, the people who operate the RM Auctions in Arizona were happy it sparked a bidding war between attendees and enthusiasts over the phone. At the end of the day, eight vehicles were sold for over a million dollars, five of them being Ferrari models.

It is pretty apparent that when drivers buy a new or used Ferrari they could potentially be buying a piece of automotive history. We think it speaks volumes that one of our models that is more than fifty years old was worth $8,140,000 for one of our biggest fans.

Our other three Ferrari models that sold for over one million dollars were our 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4, 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB, 2003 Ferrari Enzo and our 1954 Ferrari 250 Europa Coupe. We are very proud that some of our vehicles retain their value and more as they age. It only speaks to the artistry and high quality all our vehicles are made with.
