Knowing our favorite automaker here at Boardwalk Ferrari, we can't say we're all that surprised by the latest news surrounding their latest creation. After all, when you unleash a car like the 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari into the world, the world is bound to respond accordingly.

In case this is coming as news, the 2014 LaFerrari is the fastest, most powerful car that Ferrari has ever built. It is their first supercar since the Ferrari Enzo was launched in 2002, and with its 6.3-liter V12 engine working in conjunction with an electric motor, the LaFerrari can deliver a truly inordinate 963 horsepower. Not only that, but it can go from zero to 60 in less than three seconds and boasts a top speed of 220 mph.

With all these things going for it, it also happens to be Ferrari's most expensive vehicle with a price tag coming in at around $1.4 million. But if all this sounds as good to you as it does to us, we have some bad news to bear.

Being the one-of-a-kind speed demon that it is, Ferrari only saw fit to roll 499 models of the LaFerrari down the production line. And while that's still 99 more models than the Enzo got, we've already received word that they're already sold out. Again, not surprising given all that it has to offer, but it is pretty amazing when you consider that you have to have at least three other Ferrari models in your collection in order to be able to purchase the LaFerrari.

For those who missed out, don't you worry, because it probably won't be long before Ferrari outdoes themselves once more. But if that's not enough to ease the pain, feel free to do as we do with a test drive in the 2013 Ferrari California at our dealership here in Plano, TX. Trust us: it helps.
