As your Ferrari dealer in the greater Dallas area, we're committed to keeping you informed and up-to-date on the latest news from the automaker with our blog. Today, that means sharing a story about a souped-up Ferrari 458 that was just revealed last week at California's Monterey Car Week. Read on to learn more.
So who was behind this aftermarket alteration? That would be Hennessey Performance Engineering, who took the already powerful supercar and turned it into the HPE700 Twin Turbo 458. Using advanced technology and parts to optimize its performance, including an air-to-water intercooler and twin wastegates and blow-off valves, the team boosted its power to a hair-raising 738 horsepower with a total of 532 lb.-ft. of torque.
It evens sounds more impressive, as its new stainless steel exhaust system gives its ride a more boisterous soundtrack. You can hear it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADVyAyz31QA
The HPE upgrade will set you back $59,995, which includes a one-year/12,000 mile warranty, but given its ability to go from zero-to-sixty in just 2.8 seconds, we're sure that this will be money well spent.
