You don't usually associate hybrids with Ferrari. The eco-friendly vehicles provide lots of mileage, but the most popular ones are usually pretty petulant when it comes to power. That's simply not the case with our favorite Italian automaker's latest incarnation, LaFerrari.

It has the stunning looks of all new Ferrari vehicles, and to get the big question out of the way first, LaFerrari pumps out a combined 950 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque with a top speed of over 217 miles per hour. This is not your average hybrid.

Using a 6.3-liter V-12 engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch, and the HY-KERS hybrid system, LaFerrari utilizes two electric motors. One powers the rear wheels from the gearbox, while the other aids the V-12 with different processes.

Yes, it helps increase fuel economy, but it also enhances the traction control, torque vectoring and brake force distribution, too. That, and the aerodynamic frame maximizes its output as well.

LaFerrari will have a limited run of 499 models. If you're interested in obtaining more information about the Ferrari hybrid, contact us here at Boardwalk Ferrari today, and we can set up a time to meet during our regular business hours at 6300 International Parkway Plano, TX 75093. We'd be happy to discuss the supercars with you in greater detail, and answer any questions you might have about individual models that grab your attention.
